Well-Aging for Well-Being
For years we’ve heard all about anti-aging. We’ve talked at length with our girlfriends about new techniques to turn back the years and willingly parted with hard earned cash to buy the latest lotions and potions that boast ‘anti-aging powers.’
But what does it all mean? The term anti-aging denotes a somewhat negative outlook – like getting older is something to be ashamed of and we must hide its physical effects. Yet in reality aging is, in fact, a beautiful thing. To have life, wisdom and health is something to be cherished and celebrated.
As influential actress, Sophia Loren, once said, “There is a fountain of youth: it is your mind, your talents, the creativity you bring to your life and the lives of people you love. When you learn to tap this source, you will truly have defeated age.”
With this in mind, here at Tomorrow’s Leaf we’re focusing all our energies on ‘well-aging’ as opposed to ‘anti-aging’. We want to promote the beauty of being any age and looking great with it. Whether in our forties, fifties, sixties or beyond, we want to say, “darn we look good; we are healthy and bursting with energy and charisma!” Our beautifully natural products are designed to compliment your skin, not hide it away.
So if you’ve been getting bogged down with fad diets, cosmetic treatments and chemicals in an attempt to prevent the inevitable, it’s time to take a step back. Consider ways to create a more positive experience, with a longer, healthier life as your main goal. We all know it’s a scientific impossibility to look 20 when we’re 50 and these unrealistic aspirations can leave us feeling depressed and unhappy, as if we’re not good enough. It’s time to stop the self-deprecation and enter a new world of optimism and happiness.
Reflect on what’s gone before and get to know yourself and your world. Why not follow up on all those things you put off during midlife because you were too busy with your career and children? Make time to consider all that’s wonderful about getting older – the knowledge and experience you’ve gained, the security and life you’ve built around you.
Tomorrow’s Leaf and our ethos is all about loving the skin you are in and taking a positive view of growing older. We accept and embrace aging as the continuous and normal development in all our lives. We take a holistic approach to our products and put our heart and soul into researching and developing scientifically proven health and wellness products to enhance your mind and body. We help you to be the best version of you, whatever your age.
Remember this… “The first half of life is finding out how you do it, the second half is enjoying it!” (Frances Lear, activist and writer)
