A skin patch test is a simple method that can be used to test whether or not you may have sensitivity to a substance. We suggest that new customers, especially those who have known sensitivities, allergies or immune system health problems, use this technique when using any new product and its ingredients for the first time.

24 HR METHOD

  • Place a few drops of the product onto a band-aid and affix to skin of the inner forearm
  • Leave band-aid in place for 24 hours, then remove a nd check for any reactions. Avoid getting band-aid wet during this period
  • If there is no reaction the product is suitable for you to use
  • If redness, itching, blistering or soreness has developed in the area covered by the band-aid patch, it is possible that you are sensitive to or have an allergy to the product or to some ingredient (s) in the product
  • Wash the affected area in cold running water for 3 minutes, do not scrub the area
  • DO NOT USE THE PRODUCT ON YOUR SKIN

If redness, itching, blistering, soreness or some other symptoms persist, or worsen after washing the affected area seek medical advice immediately.

DELAYED REACTION METHOD

If you tend to have delayed reactions, or your facial skin is more sensitive than that of your body; we recommend that you carry out the following method.

  • Try one product at a time
  • On cleansed skin, apply a few drops of the product under the chin
  • Avoid using other products on the testing area as different brands may interact with each other causing a reaction
  • Follow step No. 1 both day and night for 3 days, constantly assessing your skin
  • If, after 3 days, there is no reaction the product is suitable for you to use
  • If redness, itching, blistering or soreness has developed in the area where the product was applied, it is possible that you are sensitive to or have an allergy to the product or to some ingredient (s) in the product
  • Wash the affected area in cold running water for 3 minutes, do not scrub the area
  • DISCONTINUE USE
